ITINERARY OF: BEST 2 DAYS TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO ZAGORA DESERT

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - TIZI N'TICHKA PASS – KASBAH OF AIT BEN HADDOU- ZAGORA

Today, at 8:00 am Your Sahara tours company driver will pick you up from the hotel you are staying at in Marrakech at eight in the morning. We cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass on our route to the High Atlas Mountains and make a few pit stops along the way to take in the breathtaking scenery. You will go through a number of Berber villages as you travel along this route. After there, we head south, but not before making a detour of six kilometers along an alternate path to the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, where we may see the famous fortified town (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). On this spectacular stage, scenes from a variety of movies, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara starring Penélope Cruz, and others, have been filmed. After having lunch in the nearby restaurants, we proceed to Zagora via the Anti Atlas Mountains, where we suggest many photo stops. At 5 p.m., after a two-hour journey, we arrive at the "Zagora desert." We park our vehicle there and ride camels to a Berber tent camp, which takes around one hour and affords us the opportunity to view the sunset. At the camp, you will be welcomed with meat tea. Day 2: ZAGORA DESERT - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

Then, drive through the Draa Valley. Along the way, we pause to snap photographs and admire the breathtaking view of the Draa valley. This is the longest river in Morocco, and it travels through the whole country to Mauritania before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. If time permits, we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, the Cinema Studios, and the Cinema Museum in Ouarzazate. . After lunch in nearby restaurants, we continue our way back to Marrakech passing through the TIZI N TICHKA pass and drop you off at your accommodation.
